This 1/6 plate daguerreotype features a black and white portrait of a man. It was produced using the daguerreotype technique in 1850-1860 and comes in a gutta percha octagonal union case. The (K-351) geometric scroll case is in very near mint condition and has a brown color. There are no cracks, just a couple of tiny flea bites, velvet pad is brown and in very good condition. A high quality image and scarce case.
