Quarter-plate daguerreotype of Samuel Axtell Kitch (1834-1903),who fought in the Civil War as lieutenant in the 7th Illinois Cavalry.His brothers also served; his brother Ira was wounded at the Battle ofSpotsylvania and died in Fredericksburg. He's identified inside of the case in period pencil: Mr. S.A. Kitch
his likeness Dag is in excellent condition with original seals intact. Full leathercase, a design which I think is considered rare. The case is intact though the leather on the spine is a bit delicate Dag has a tarnish ringand a few random tarnish spots but no damage. Shipping: First Class mailer or boxed Priority Mail.
