If you started smoking pipes back in the 60s like I did, you\'ll likely remember seeing Venturi\'s \"the pipe\" in your local pipe shops. They advertised in the likes of Playboy magazine, and smoking one of these pipes made out of pyrolitic graphite (the stuff of rocket nose cones) was Cool. And the California model with its psychedelic colors was the Ultimate Way Cool. Seriously, the California model seldom surfaces on the market, and they can command a high price. They were one-of-a-kind in their finish and colors.These pipes seem to command a love/hate relationship. Many will poo-poo \"the pipe,\" but I\'ve never found the smoke objectionable, but rather enjoyable. It\'s a personal preference. These pipes don\'t need to be reamed, just washed.
