Vintage 1940’s Royal Quiet Deluxe Portable Manual Typewriter.

Pre-owned and in good working and physical condition.

This has been tested and is functioning properly. All keys operate smoothly (no dead keys). Type bars return to their original spots without getting hung up. Carriage moves back and forth properly. The platen operates smoothly and is in good condition but it does have some cracks running horizontal on the left side of the platen, it works fine. See Last photos for that condition.

Typewriter shows normal wear overall. I carefully inspected the unit and did not see any broken/missing parts.

Body of the unit is mostly free of blemishes, but there are some wear spots at front corners where unit clips into case. Ribbon is new and functioning.

I did not test all functions of this typewriter, but all features work correctly.

I think the strikers could use a cleaning to get a little better imprint.

Original case is included - it's solid but the leather piping that's goes along the bottom edge is half off.

I would say this spent a fair amount of time in the basement. It's a bit musty.
