For sale is this 1930s humorous girl in bathing suit postcard with the tag line: \"The One Piece Suit Makes Them Look Longer!\" On the reverse side it lists the card as part of the \"Bathers\" line as number 12.
The postcard is postmarked on July 26, 1934 at Van Nuys, California. The date makes this postcard as being made in the time period of the Great Depression and during the \"pre-Code\" era for talkie movies. The postcard has the \"rich\" guy in top hat, tails and spats ogling the girl in the bathing suit as the waves are about to reach him from behind in the same \"hubba-hubba\" and clueless rich guy vein of many pre-Code movies.
Note that this postcard has creasing and light tape and stamp residue. In my opinion, these don\'t detract from the overall enjoyment of the period humor of the 1930s card.Please see photographs or use the magnifying feature if that is available to you for an accurate depiction of the condition of this item.
