in english:"Bought this collection of prints by 4 shillings near the Abbey of Westminster in front of a statue of (George) Canning "
José Caetano Henriques dos Reis, is a Portuguese historical personality, bachelor of Laws at the University of Coimbra and former civil governor of Viseu.
He is the father of Francisco do Amaral dos Reis (1873-1938), 1st Portuguese Viscount of Pedralva by D.Carlos I, 100th governor of Portuguese Angola (1919-1920). Francisco do Amaral dos Reis is the father of Francisco Keil do Amaral (1910-1975) a very important portuguese arquitech.
Francisco Keil do Amaral is author of very important works in Portugal like Lisbon aeroport in 1942, Eduard VII park , etc.
This important family is also linked to Alfredo Keil (his daugther married with Francisco, the previous owner's son). Alfredo Keil is a Portuguese romantic composer, author of the Portuguese anthem "A Portuguesa".In addition to this collection of postcards that are fabulous and in excellent condition, this item is a valuable and rare historical document that originated in a trip to London of a noble family of the Portuguese society of the century.
