🔥 RARE Antique Old Southern Folk Art Crow Bird Quilt, Hand Stitched 1920s:

This is an unusual andRARE Antique Old Southern Folk Art Crow Bird Quilt, hand stitched and likely dating to the 1920's - 1930's. This work has a crisscross pattern of green bars, and red bars at the edges, and has numerous hand appliqued crows throughout. The artwork is entirely hand stitched, and the crows are sewn into the quilt with red thread. Most unusual is that all of the crows are facing to the right, except for one at the lower edge, which is facing the opposite direction. I'm sure there is some symbolism behind this, but unfortunately, I do not know the meaning. Approximately 68 1/2 x 74 inches. Good condition for nearly a century of age, with some spots of light soiling, and some loose threads throughout (please see photos.) Acquired from an old barn in Southern Texas, United States.
