*RARE* 1953 Hiram Walker DeLuxe Bourbon Elegant Hospitality Gift Decanter Bottle:

This is a Walker\'s DeLuxe Decanter from 1953 called the \"Hospitality Decanter\".
It is in the shape of a large graceful flask standing 10\" high with the original stopper in place and is 5 1/2\" wide. The front has a wonderful Gold Script \"Walker\'s DeLuxe\". There is no label which is by design and part of its appeal. You can still find the original print ad from 1953 and the ad states: \"The full distinction of the Hospitality Decanter is revealed by removing the label.\" The etching behind the label is a bold stylized Starburst design which is matched by ridges on the stopper.
This shape is rare and unique among Walker\'s decanters. From the print ad: \"The Hospitality Decanter makes Walker\'s DeLuxe an even more elegant gift! And now its elegance is accented by the handsome new Hospitality Decanter... May we suggest Walker\'s DeLuxe in its new Decanter for your own entertaining as well?\"
The base has the federal law statement and the numbers D 23 6A 101 53.
The bottle contained Hiram Walker\'s finest straight bourbon - 6 years old, 90.4 proof. From Hiram Walker & Sons, Peoria, Illinois.
If you hold it up to the light there is minor scratching on the \'W\' but the rest of the script is still in excellent condition. There is no other damage.
In excellent used vintage condition, an awesome mid century piece to add to your collection. It\'s a beautiful thing.
