VINTAGE! UNSMOKED COLLECTIBLE! FROM LAST CENTURY! 1950's to 1970's!!
From Italy's most well known pipe makers, Savinelli, comes this unique, rare, "Chin Rest", "Chinrester" or "Dental Pipe" style, from one of their highest grades, the Punto Oro line. This stunning pipe has a bent stem that supports your pipe via your chin, and is often called a "Dental Pipe", due to it being thought as being better engineered for your teeth. This style was very popular in the 50's-70's, and was sold at the very upscale "Neiman Marcus" department stores, their name marked on the pipe, along with all the Savinelli nomenclature. The bowl is a good size, indicated by the Savinelli "KS" marking. The pipe is a dark reddish/brown, with lovely birds-eye and cross briar grains peeking through. The Punto Oro imbedded small gold dot is on the specially bent, tapered, fantail Vulcanite stem.
This is a highly collectible pipe, and will be the star of your collection.
I still can't believe that this pipe passes a pipe cleaner all the way through.
