Benjamin Fooks, of the Grapette Beverage Co. was responsible for this brand. He was a traveling salesman, selling his flavors under the Fook\'s Flavors name. He developed the best grape soda, and experimented with other flavors. \"Mr.\" Cola was formulated in 1962. His Cola flavor was meant to compete with Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola. It was very successful for awhile, but soon was out of business.
This is a 16 oz. bottle of \"Mr.\" Cola, bottled by Grapette Bottling Co. of New Albany, Mississippi, and authorized by the Grapette Company of Camden, Arkansas.
This bottle features \"Mr.\" Cola\" embossed on both sides of the neck. The bottle has near perfect painted labels on one side. On the other side, the painted label has some blue coming through the white paint, as shown. It has one fleabite near the bottom edge. The bottle is full, with a patriotic cap on it.
