CharlesEzekiel Polowetski was born in Russia on September 1, 1884. Polowetskistudied in Paris with Richard Blum and Leon Bonnat. By 1914 he hadimmigrated to New York City where he spent most of career. He died in SanFrancisco on May 20, 1955. Exh: Corcoran Gallery, 1914;Society of Independent Artists, 1917-31; Salons of America, 1925, 1934;Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, 1932. Works held: StateNormal School (Brockport, NY); Bezalel College (Palestine); Paterson (NJ) CityHall; Barnett Hospital (Paterson); New York City public schools; SummitPark Sanitorium (Pomona, NY); Floyd Bennett Airport (NY).
