3 pc High Grade Set of Sunroco Co.VINTAGE SUN RUBBER MICKEY MOUSE & DONALD FIRE ENGINEVINTAGE DONAL AND PLUTO CARVINTAGE MICKEY MOUSE TRACTOR
This set has been in my possessionfor the last 50 years. Of the large amount of sun rubber products especially the car lines and disney, this fire engine sedan and tractor are in high grade shape with less paint chips then any others i have ever seen even at shows in the 70's and 80's. The extremely rare sun rubber label is the key to knowing this was never actually handled by a child but all 3 were displayed before i even aquired it. The label was loosely fastened and the fire engine and sedan ones had to be stapled in the early 1970's because they were not gripping together.THE TRACTOR HOWEVER LABEL IS STILL ATTACHED PERFECTLY LIKE THE DAY IT CAME OFF THE OHIO ASSEMBLY NAME.These were corner flap locking into place (very loosely all be it) with one corner flap fitting in the other loosely and so easy for anyone to pull it off with the little force.See the underside of the tractor for how the label was done at the manufacturer perfectly.
The bodies have storage dust that is the only thing and i did not want to attempt to clean them myself. They sat on a shelf from 1970 to 1998 collecting dust until they were carefully super bubble wrapped and moved from the west to east coast.So i would love to see what they look like all cleaned up, but i am not even going to attempt to try that with their chemical make up.
Nothing broken at all on the vehicles and nothing broken on the figures. The fire engine has the usual factory paint overflow on to mickey's body like i have seen on many. and the under carriages have the same dust storage wear and would be very curious to see how much of the metal pin axles cleans up compared to the rustish looking color underneath on those pins.
