Utilizing laserdisc technology and traditional animation, Don Bluth, John Pomeroy and Gary Goldman and their team of animators produced the groundbreaking interactive video game that allowed the player to guide the hero, Dirk the Daring, through perilous situations to rescue the sexy, long-legged Princess Daphne from the dragon. Dragon's Lair is one of only three video games preserved in the Smithsonian Institution.
