Ben Wade Danish Pride Freehand by Preben Holm Hand Carved Tobacco Pipe

Pipe is in EXCELLENT CONDITION at least 35 years old. No perceptible bit wear.

During the 1970s and 1980s, the Ben Wade brand was utilized to market Danish Fancy pipes produced in Preben Holm's workshop. This "Danish Pride" Freehand showcases the distinctive, organic shaping characteristic of pipes from that era, featuring a plateau-crowned rim, fluting channels, and sharp ridges. The bowl accommodates a generously deep chamber within its thick insulating walls, while the mouthpiece is crafted with a steep bend, ensuring a comfortable posture for relaxed smoking.

The pipe is adorned with a dual finish: a crisp, earthy sandblast covers most of the stummel, while sections around the bowl are left smooth and stained in a lighter color to provide contrast.
