Thinning out my 30+ year collection of great Baltimore Maryland and Carroll County soda, beer and whiskey bottles. Any references to a # are from the 2019 edition of Baltimore’s Pre-Prohibition Breweries & Bottles (also available on ).

Offered for sale is # 75 from the King of Beers in St. Louis Missouri. Ole Miss This Baltimore Branch tooled aqua crown displays with a little stain, dirt, case wear and a chip in the bottom rear heal. Would definitely clean up nicer but currently looks pretty much like it dig when I pulled it out of a privy. This bottle would have been filled with beer shipped from the brewery in St. Louis to Baltimore by train. Anheuser Busch had a large presence in Baltimore from 1886-1919. The beer was originally bottled by Von Mitzel, a local bottling house before Anheuser Busch opened up their own bottling house about 1890 until prohibition in 1919. This bottle has a maker\'s mark of A B Co for American Bottle Company in Chicago, IL. 1905-1929 with his bottle most likely used @1900 due to the hand tooled crown.
