I have several different Trolley signs, some with date codes from the 40's. They were all found together, so it stands to reason they are all from the 1940's.This listing is forSunkist Oranges, Muffets Shredded Wheat and for BENDIX Washing machines sold at The Hub Department store in Baltimore, MD at Baltimore, Fayette and Charles St.

Condition:These signs are made of heavy paper/cardboard and not many things made of cardboard survive 70 years. The condition of these signs are good, not perfect by any means, but, goodfor their age with some very slight water stains on the edges, nicks, small tearsand small tattering on the edges. There is also some minor rubbing from other stacked trolley signs as seen in the pictures. Most of the damage is contained to the white border and could be hidden mostly by a frame or matte. Overall in very displayable condition and would look great in any collection.

These signs were recovered from The famous 2'Oclock Exotic Dance Club in Baltimore MD, where Blaze Starr got her start, and were used on the side of Trolley cars here in Baltimore. They were made of inexpensive cardboard and not expected to survive more than a few weeks, but here we are, and that's what makes these a rare find! Not sure why they were tucked away upstairs at the 2 O'clock club, but that's where they were found. I guess it was a favorite stop for the Trolleys!

GENERAL CONDITION OF ANY OF OUR TROLLEY SIGNS
These signs have some slight water stains on the edges, some minor fraying on the edges or small tears, and some have nicked up corners, butwill still display beautifully and cover if you use a frame, please review pictures carefully.This is why we are offering them at such a great price!

MdArchitectural Rescue is a different type of recycling company. We have operated in Baltimore and surrounding areas since 1996. After starting out rescuing fireplace mantles and cast iron door locks from construction dumpsters, we have opened our eyes to may types of waste that are often over looked and fall through the cracks. Our focus is and always will be vintage items of the highest quality. But with our eyes now open we put a lot of effort in bringing you high end collectibles from every industry available and at a very reasonable price. All our items are salvaged and are for the most part American Made. One week we could be in an old School, Brewery, Factory, and the following weekat a Shipyard or Power plant, you just never know. Also, one day we may be removing Vintage lighting, the next day Signs and Vintage blueprints and the following day cleaning out a machine shop or high end parts room.
