(2) Antique French Oval Gilded Metal Boxes w/hinged lids, painted scene & glass top.Larger box (3 1/2" length) features a card playing party scene.
Smaller box (2 1/2" length) features two couples dancing. On perimeter is piano and violin player accompanied by people sitting.
The painted scene is likely a fine art lithographic process (printed on paper surface).Gilded metal ornamentation is on top of the glass. Gilded metal bow with flowered garland swag is across upper portion. Insides are lined with floral patterned fabric.
Larger: Length: 3 1/2 inches, Width: 3 1/8 inches, Height: 1 1/4 inches
Smaller:Length: 2 1/2 inches, Width: 2 1/8 inches, Height: 1 1/8 inches
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Hinged lids open and close well. No scratches on glass. Please Note: Boxes are very old and the fabric may need minor cleaning.
