DESCRIPTION: Offered to you is this vintage 1950’s Socialist Propaganda color chromolithograph poster – The lazy bride. Made on the story of old Bulgarian fairy tale. The story is about a beautiful but lazy bride. She was left without food on the orders of her father in law because of her carelessness and laziness. The moral of the story is that after a while the bride rethinks her behavior and began to help to her family. The poster is painted by Mira Yovcheva and Ivan Yovchev. Printed in only 4000 copies. Made to be framed and hanged on the wall. Designed to promote the results of a nation wide post WWII rebuilding labor campaign. The series of posters compares modern technological achievements and improvements with the old ineffective ways of doing things. It promotes the beauty and peace of living in a communist country. All pictures are in line with the communist party approved government propaganda at the time.For condition see photos. Size: 27\" x 19\". Scarce and highly collectable item.
