Original, old 19th century albumen mammoth plate-photography!!! INTERNO DELLA CATTEDRALE, MILANO, ITALY by BROGI or SOMMER This photography is GUARANTEED to be genuine and as described! I do not sell reprints! This is a mammoth plate (14 x 11 inch) .....the exposure time of these large photos was several minutes. To get persons on these pictures, they had to standstill for 3-5 minutes. This is the reason why on these plates no people are seen... On some mammoth platesonly shadows of persons - which went through the picture-are visible.... A very rare and a really collectable item!! PHOTOGRAPHER:most possibly by Brogi or Sommer TITLE:Image is titled &numberedbut notsigned. DATE: approx. 1870-1880 PROCESS:Albumen photography DIMENSION:14 x11inches (36x 26cm); Cardboard is50 x 40 cm). Image is too large for my scanner....so please see the pic...
