Thérésa Tallien, Princesse de Chimay - 1822

Thérésa Tallien was, like Joséphine, one of the beauties who ruled the Directory (1795-99) with the curve of her hips. Early in his reign, the prudish Napoléon encouraged her to leave Paris. She remained friends with Joséphine, however, visiting her frequently at Malmaison after her divorce.
