Rare, Wonderful Lot of (5) Early 1805 Antique Documents & RECEIPTS & CONTRACTS CONCERNING THE ALBANY & SCHENECTADY NEW YORK TURNPIKE CORP., and a "PLANK ROAD"

1) 1805 payment receipt with Henry Ostrom, Signed by John Lansing, President, to provide stone for the turnpike

2) One long 2-page document/contract INCLUDING DETAILED 1850 PLANS OF A TOLL BOOTH

3) Other detailed, dated receipts and contract document pages regarding other detailed maintenance work on the toll gate, etc.

DESCRIPTION: A wonderful, rare lot of (5) antique handwritten in ink documents on early hand-made lined paper and signed by John Lansing, president of the turnpike corporation. The earliest is dated 1805.

3 of the documents measure 6 1/2" x 8". The large, 2-page contracts each measure 8" x 12".

You will be thrilled with this if you are from New York or interested in . About 90 years old!!

Scans show all the details. In very good condition. Suitable for framing or look good mounted in a notebook.
