ANTIQUE INK WELL Description: VICTORIAN COUPLEINK STAND Old Antique VictorianINK STANDholder, which has been produced inporcelain in the form of Victorian couple at the piano. The holder opens to the centre, to reveal3 miniature hat like removable holders 1 pounce (sand-powder aids dry blotting ink) TRIMED IN GOLD. Ladies hang a brooch on the rest (here, a seatback), men hang their watch. Dip pens would either sit on an accompanying tray (in this case), or on the inkstand base pen rest, or the lid rest (in this case, the arm elbows), or on an upper rack arrangement.
