1890s Dark Blue Wedgwood Jasperware Portland Vase 8” amphora:

Rare 1890s second generation Wedgwood dark blue Portland vase. Originally made in the 1770s, this was the first reiteration or reproduction of the original. This 8 inch vase appears to be in excellent condition, though there is just the slightest bit of glue residue to 1/2 of the top of the handle. No glue residue to the other half, so I don’t think that it is a repair. Perhaps there was the slightest separation during the firing process and someone added some glue for stability. The base, a 1890 to 1920 Mark, this piece was probably made sometime in the early 1890s. Nice Bacchus fonts to the handle terminals.
